What the Congress Can Do for America - George W. Bush

Tomorrow, members of the 110th Congress will take their oaths of office here in Washington. I will have the privilege of working with them for the next two years--one quarter of my presidency, plenty of time to accomplish important things for the American people.

Let them say of these next two years: We used our time well.

These words will be tossed about, tramped on, trumped up, blogged about, and just plain blown out. Let us pray our government can do as President Bush has requested and work for Americans, all Americans. Let us reach out to our representatives and let them know our desire that they get the job done.
It's pretty easy actually:
1. protect us
2. take care of our old
3. take care of our young
4. take care of our sick

Once we get those covered we can talk about everything else.
